So I was checking out my stats earlier today, and I saw that the most recent search that led to my site was “Asbjørn porn.” Now, I’m pretty sure that whoever was doing the searching was not looking for porn with my dog in it, but the whole thing brings to mind thoughts I’m happier not thinking. Also new on the list was “reverly.” I’m the number one hit on Google for that one, for reasons I don’t entirely understand (Olof did give me some long-winded, confusingly techie-worded explanation, but I didn’t really get it despite the fact that I nodded thoughtfully and said “mmhmm” at appropriate intervals).
Maybe I’ve been watching too much Queer Eye lately, or maybe I just have too much time on my hands and too few real concerns, but I struck an almost-Faustian deal with my husband this afternoon regarding eyebrow grooming. He has, I’m ashamed to admit, something of a unibrow and, try as I might, I find it impossible to ignore. I have tried and tried and tried some more to get him to let me pluck it, but he’s having none of it. Today I even offered to pay for him to make regular visits to the eyebrow-plucking place, but he still refused. Finally I played my trump card and said that I’d trade him eyebrow maintenance for his snus habit. The latter has long been a point of contention between us and I could tell as soon as I put the deal on the table that he’d choose to keep it over his unibrow. I’m really itching to do the tweezing myself, but he says he’ll take care of it. Ah well, you can’t have everything . . .
Obsessive Compulsive? I think yes. But you were able to strike a deal, good job. Let me know how it turns out. God help you if he tries himself. You know how when you first started plucking and one hair led to two led to four-hundred and fifty- three? Trying to make them “even” I can’t wait to hear how this turns out. : )
Ha! You would have loved it … he just shaved a strip between his eyebrows with his elecric razor and called it good. The next day, though, he said, “I can’t leave it the way it is right now,” and told me to go get my tweezers. It looks pretty good now, if I do say so myself. 🙂
