After a few days of spring-like weather, including a particularly lovely, sunny Saturday, it was rather a disappointment to wake this morning and find several inches of new snow. At least it made the kids happy.

We’ve had a rather terrible winter – extremely cold temperatures for weeks on end and a lot more snow than we’ve been used to in several years. We had another minor snowfall over the weekend and even the kids at school grumbled about it. But it didn’t stop them from making dozens of largish snowballs in the football field (I’m sure the ‘sticky, snowman-building snow’ isn’t the norm in your neck of the woods either). We’re all anxious for the snow to melt and to put away our snowpants for the season.
