I woke up this morning feeling like hell. I’ve got a sore throat and a monster headache and general achiness that just won’t quit. Olof got up with the dogs and the baby around 9:30, and let me stay in bed until 12:30, which was very nice. Actually, he almost always lets me sleep in on weekend mornings, but today I needed it extra much, so I appreciated it extra much. Since I got up, I’ve mostly been sitting on the heating pad and drinking hot tea (and taking copious amounts of ibuprofen). I’m really not good at being sick. I hope this goes away soon.
I have plans to go to town tomorrow for brunch at Helena’s house with her and Debbie, and a couple of other girls, I think. I’ve been really looking forward to it, and I am going to be so irritated if I don’t feel better tomorrow. I even made muffins to take with me! I guess if my muffins weren’t there it wouldn’t be a great loss, as they’re not especially tasty. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not exactly untasty, but they are lowfat, whole-wheat banana muffins, made with yogurt instead of oil and sweetened with honey instead of sugar. They taste okay, but not what a person generally expects of banana muffins.
Of course your muffins will be missed!! Geesh, we’re having the brunch just for your muffins. And our 2 tasty quiches, scones, cinnabons, fruit pizza, french toast and bacon. 😉 Is my list working yet, since I’ve repeated it to you 10 million times now. 😉 Anyhow, it’s 8:30am, and I hope you’re feeling better. (Not just for the party’s sake!)
