This is the first night in far too long that I’ll be able to go to bed without having to set an alarm to wake me in the wee hours. Lydia had her end-of-school shindig this morning and Tage finished up at pre-school this afternoon, which means that we’ll be sleeping in for the next ten weeks. (Not for the first time, I am congratulating myself at having had the good sense to raise late-sleeping children. There’s no early rising around here, I can tell you.)
My mom’s visit is going well, a little post-Stockholm exhaustion notwithstanding. We had a good time in the big city, but I think all of us were relieved to turn homeward on Saturday night. We got back to our house just before noon on Sunday, and since then the kids and I–and Olof, when he can get a break from work–have been taking it easy and just enjoying Onock’s company.
