Quickie

It’s late and I’m supposed to be getting ready for bed, but I sneaked into Olof’s office to write a quick entry after I took the dogs out and hanged up the laundry. How’s that for a switch — Olof upstairs waiting for me to come up to bed and me sitting down here playing around on the computer. Mwaaahahaha!

So, yesterday was his birthday and we had his parents and his sisters (and the brothers-in-law and kids) over for dinner and birthday dessert. My parents are divorced and I’ve never been part of a big extended family, so it’s still a bit of an adjustment for me to have a “small” family gathering and have there be twelve people, minimum, in attendance. It’s nice, though, and I think it’s wonderful that Olof has such a great family in which everybody gets along with everybody else and there’s no tension or fighting or anything. I have a great family, too, but we’ve had our share of tension and cross words (and worse), to be sure.

Well, I can hear Tage upstairs screaming, and it’s pretty late, so I’d better cut this short and get up there myself.
