It seems that “acquisition” is the name of our game lately. Last week it was the stroller, then a couple of days later we went to town and, at long last, bought a clothes dryer. It was delivered yesterday evening and already I can tell that it’s going to revolutionize this housewife’s life. The whole time I’ve lived in Sweden we’ve had just a washer and no dryer and I think I’d forgotten until this afternoon just how nice it can be to pull a load of soft, warm, fresh-smelling laundry from the tumbler. After just two loads I’m so securely back in the clutches of the washer/dryer combo that I can’t imagine ever going back to relying solely on the drying rack.
