A tidbit or two …

Poor Olof had a wisdom tooth out this afternoon and he’s not feeling so perky just now. He’s been wondering how long it will hurt, but I don’t have any concrete information for him. I’ve had both of my top ones out, on separate occasions, but they didn’t have to do any cutting or stitching so I made a pretty quick recovery. I’m hoping he’ll feel better within the next day or two, even taking into account the stitches. He goes back next week to have the stitches removed and to be fitted for his bite guard, so he’s in the homestretch of his several weeks of dentistry.

When Lydia came home from school yesterday she asked me if she could join the church’s children’s choir. She sang with them for a few months last year and ultimately quit because she didn’t really like it (I think the music wasn’t cool enough for her). I reminded her that she hadn’t liked it before and asked why she wanted to rejoin. She said she didn’t know but that she was sure she would like it this time. I just nodded thoughtfully, and what must have been less than a minute later she asked, “Do you know what they’re doing over Easter break? They’re going to Pite Havsbad.” Hmm, nice try, kid, but no dice.
