After lagging behind in my NaNoWriMo daily word goal for the past six days, I’m nearly caught up again! I wrote 3000+ words both yesterday and today, and if I do the same tomorrow than I’ll be back on track. I can’t tell you how good that feels. It does get me down a little bit when I think that I’m still not halfway done yet (I’ve written 23,618 words and the requirement is 50,000), but I’m trying to focus now on how far I’ve come. With any luck I’ll be on the downhill slide after tomorrow, anyway, so it should only get better from here.

As I’ve said before, my work for Mosaic Minds has been suffering, and I didn’t meet today’s deadline for either of my regular columns. I did get what I hope will turn out to be a great idea for my “All Booked Up” column, though, if only I can find the time to write it.

Other than writing, writing, writing, I’ve been doing a whole lotta nothing. I’ve barely even been outside the past two days, something I’ve got to do something about tomorrow. We do have to go to town sometime to return our library books that are two weeks overdue, so maybe we’ll do that. I need to try to hunt down a pumpkin for our upcoming Thanksgiving dinner, too. I can’t believe it’s less than two weeks until Thanksgiving.
