Sleep-deprived

We really need to get our sleep schedules on track here, especially since we’re going to be adding a new baby to the mix next summer. Last night I was so tired that I went to bed shortly after Tage–miracle of miracles–fell asleep at eight o’clock. Then I woke up when Olof came to bed a little after ten and I couldn’t go back to sleep so I got up and stayed up until just past midnight.

We all got up this morning between seven-thirty and eight. Everyone else was well-rested, but I was exhausted. I went back to bed for a “nap” at eleven-thirty, and didn’t get up again until two-thirty in the afternoon! It was already getting dark by then.

Now it’s time for bed again and I’m feeling sleepy enough to hit the hay, but Tage is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and he had only a short nap (I’m taking Olof’s word on that — I was asleep). What is the matter with us?

  1. Well, you ARE pregnant! I remember when I was first pregnant but I didn’t know it yet. I got home from work and slept for two hours. I used to get home from work and go running! It took me a few weeks to put two and two together (hubby and I hadn’t been really trying at the time so it was even more of a mystery).
