Baby steps

Not quite two weeks ago, Olof and I packed up the travel crib that Yrsa never slept in — not once, I swear it — and brought in the toddler bed from the garage. The idea was that maybe she’d adjust better to the idea of sleeping in her own bed if it was a bed she could climb in and out of on her own. She watched with interest as we got everything together, and as soon as we made it up with her bedding she crawled in and got comfortable.

Obviously this gave us hope for a relatively easy transition, and in truth, it’s worked out well enough so far. She’s slept there about half the time, and a few nights she’s stayed in her own bed until morning. With any luck we’ll get her there full-time before too long.
