Zombies are all the rage these days. Even my dog is getting on board. If you don’t believe me, give this a look-see.

She’s got the undead look down pat, right? The one eye is obviously just glowing in the flash, but the red one really does look like that.

Rest assured that she’s not in nearly so bad off as she looks. Yesterday I took her in for another check of her slow-healing eye injury, and the vet decided to stitch shut her third eyelid for a week to see if that will speed things up some. It sounded freaky to me, but I trust our vet, so I gave the okay (that’s not to suggest that I didn’t do some extensive googling as soon as I got home — apparently it really isn’t an uncommon treatment).

I’m really hoping this does the trick, finally, because I think we’re all pretty ready to be done with this. Not least that poor, saintly dog.
