Another baby, another MS flare

So yeah, as usual in the post-partum weeks, my multiple sclerosis is acting up. For the past several days I’ve had some numbness and weakness in my left leg, and also some numbness in my left arm. It’s mild, though, so mild that it’s hardly worth mentioning. In fact, I was thinking earlier this evening that ten or twelve years ago, this is the way I felt during a good period, just slightly off instead of full-on handicapped. It’s amazing to me how much better my condition is now than it was in the early years after I was diagnosed.

Still, I admit that it is a little disheartening to have even a minor attack like this one, even though it hardly affects me and even though I was expecting it. It’s an unwelcome reminder, I guess, of something I all but forget about most of the time.

  1. I totally get that. Every time I get a heart palpitation that makes me pause or my vision is blurry, I remember. And I’d just as soon not. Much love… xoxo
