I got my nose pierced today! I’d been wanting to have it done for quite a while, and finally decided that today was the day. It hurt, of course, but not as much as I was afraid it might, and it feels totally fine right now. My only complaint is that the stud is too big, but I have only myself to blame since I was too impatient to wait until next week when they’ll get more of the smaller ones in. I’ll be happy when I can change it, though — I’m supposed to go in next Tuesday and the piercer will change it for me.

Otherwise, we’ve had a pretty tame day around here. Olof went back to work today, but he hasn’t put in a full day since he’s still feeling some of the effects of “Montezuma’s Revenge.” He says he didn’t drink the water, but it got him anyway. Poor guy.

Oh yeah, I also booked tickets for Lydia and me to go to Stockholm June 11-14 for my friend Heather’s baby shower. You can get some really great deals from SAS these days, so if you want to take a trip now’s the time! Lydia’s already started in with the “how many days until we go” routine and I’m wishing I had waited to tell her until we were closer to the date. It’s nice that she’s excited, though. I think it will be a lot of fun for us to have a little “girls only” trip together.
