More snow pictures

After days and days of snowfall, yesterday dawned bright and beautiful, if bracingly cold.  It was too pretty to stay indoors, so Olof and I bundled ourselves up and took a little walk to the pizzeria for lunch.  I took the camera along so that I could pass a little piece of this wintry splendor on to you, dear readers.

Just a bit of proof that I do venture out of the house occasionally:

Brynja and Mom
Someone–thankfully not us–is going to have a hell of a time here.  Maybe they’ll just go ahead and wait for the spring thaw.

Not my car, thank goodness
Here’s our clothesline.  Not much use to us at the moment, obviously.

Here’s a shot of the park next-door, taken from our yard.  Those rectangular objects that you can just barely make out are picnic tables.

This one is a tree I’m especially fond of, though it’s barely recognizable in its current state:

And finally, a shot of the same tree, sans snow, for reference’s sake:

  1. It’s nuts … I think this is the most snow we’ve had accumulated since I moved up here. It’s actually a lot nicer than slush and grayness, though, so you won’t hear me complaining too much!
