Tage has been a demon with the scissors for the past several weeks, cutting every scrap of paper he can find into a heart or a Pokémon ball or a tree or a superhero. Tonight he started in making Halloween decorations, so we’re very heavy on the ghosts and bats now. Funnily enough, it was his 100%-Swedish cousin who turned him on to the Halloween stuff; yesterday he came home from there describing in detail their jack-o-lantern and begging me to buy a pumpkin, and today he learned how to make a bat from a toilet-paper roll and a sheet of printer paper.
Me, I can take Halloween or leave it (candy corn notwithstanding), and truth be told, I’d just as soon leave it. I guess that’s not going to be an option this year.
