After a several days of rain and freezing or near-freezing temperatures, we had a beautiful, beautiful fall day today, complete with clear blue skies and temperatures upward of 50°F (10°C).  It was so gorgeous out that when I walked to pick Petra up from school, I wore only a light jacket instead of the winter coat I’ve been using for the past couple of weeks.

Tomorrow Olof and I have a road trip to Umeå, about two hours south of us, and I’m really hoping this weather will hold.  It would make for a much nicer trip all the way around if we didn’t have to battle rain and fog and patches of icy road.
