I may have mentioned a time or two recently that my kids are sick. We’ve gone through two or three rounds of first-this-then-that, with Petra and her cough-and-fever package being the latest attraction. Today she’s been somewhat better, though, and I’ve been paying a little more attention to Brynja, who’s been hacking to wake the dead and managed even to make herself puke earlier today with all the coughing. Not willing to let go her top spot so easily, Petra upped the ante twenty minutes or so ago by spewing freshly-drunk Kool-Aid and partially digested, chunky whatnot all over herself and the bathroom floor. A laugh a minute, I tell you. A laugh a minute.

The Orange Kool-Aid Stomach Acid Test
October 3, 2008
Doesn’t sound fun…especially not when you’re feeling down on top of things. I haven’t had any bouts of depressions so I’m not going to pretend that I know what it’s like, but my layman tip is to take medication if and when you think you need it. It’s probably not the only cure (or alleviation) but together with talking to someone, it should be a good mix. And as someone else said, being aware of it and talking about it, can only be positive.
Hope you feel better soon! (and the kids too)
