My day in an alliterative nutshell …
The kids didn’t have school today (it seems they go only about half the time these last several weeks — I’ve stopped asking the reasons), but I was up early anyway to go pick Helena up at the airport. She’s back in Sweden for a few weeks and is camped out here for most of her stay.
After spending a couple of hours catching up and hanging around, Olof and I enlisted her services as a babysitter and made a quick trip to town, where, among other things, we bought a couple of pillows for the guest bed. Back home, I made a pizza for dinner. It was an unappetizing, Olof-style pizza, so I didn’t have any, but there was no chance I’d go hungry since I’d made a delectable pineapple pie earlier in the day. Who needs dinner when there’s dessert in the offing?
So you sorted outthe guestroom or will you be searching for Helena among the laundry? 😉
Well, she hasn’t yet emerged after last night, so it might be time to mount a rescue mission! 😀
