So thanks to a tip from my fabulous friend, Helena, I found out today that my all-time favorite band, Counting Crows, are touring Europe this summer. Further investigation led me to the discovery that they’re playing Stockholm on June 16! I wasted no time buying a ticket (or, rather, I wasted about an hour waiting for Ticnet’s painfully slow server, but I did buy one absolutely as soon as I could get someone to sell it to me), and as soon as that was done I headed over to the Scandinavian Airlines site to buy some tickets for Olof and me and the babe to fly down and back. I haven’t seen them play live before, so I am positively beside myself with glee!

The only downside is that I’ll be on my own for the actual concert. Brynja is far too young to tag along, of course, and she’ll also still be too little to leave overnight, so she and Olof will have to find something else to keep themselves occupied while I bask in the glory that is Adam Duritz. If I weren’t so gleeful, I might almost feel sorry for them.
