How do you spell relief?

S-L-E-E-P.  That’s right, hours and hours of (mostly) uninterrupted sleep.

After the unmatched awfulness of Wednesday night, Petra decided to take it easy on us last night and went to bed without much fuss, where she stayed–and slept–until some time after eleven o’clock this morning.  I could hardly believe it when I woke at five to feed the baby and realized that I hadn’t heard even so much as a peep from Petra’s room.  And I was so afraid of breaking the spell that I barely stirred myself after that, not getting up to go to the bathroom or get a drink or do anything other than lie as still and quiet as possible and, you guessed it, sleep.
