Today Helena, Tage, and I made an impromptu trip to town to surprise Melanie with a present that we’d bought her, do some grocery shopping, and have a quick cup of coffee at Wayne’s. We left Skellefteå at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, and it was already pitch dark. Between the long, dark winters and the long, light summers, I sometimes feel as though I’m never able to get oriented time-wise. I always expect it to be much later or much earlier than it really is. I wonder if I’ll ever be completely adjusted.
