Olof insisted that we observe Guy Fawkes Day by watching V for Vendetta this afternoon.  He’d seen it before, but hadn’t been able to convince me to watch it.  I’m just not much on comic books–oh, excuse me, graphic novels–either in print or on the big screen.  He finally brought me around by appealing to my love of history, and in the end I have to say that I’m glad he did.  The film was much better than I expected it to be, and sitting curled up on the couch watching it with my main squeeze was a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday.
