All good things must come to an end.

After seven long weeks away from the grindstone, Olof is back to it bright and early tomorrow morning. I don’t envy him having to try to get back into the groove of work after such a long vacation, but he says he’s ready. Less ready is Lydia, but ready or not, her vacation also ends tomorrow. I have to admit, I’m not feeling much ready myself to give up my long, lazy mornings and start getting up at a cruel, cruel 7:30 every weekday.

In order to gear himself up for working, Olof moved his office last week into a room that we have previously called the Movie Room, but which has sat mostly empty for the past year or two. Now the room that was previously the office is empty (or, rather, will be empty once we get the last of the trash out of there), and we have to figure out what we’ll do with it. It seems an embarrassment of riches to have such a big house–even with a home office and two living rooms, we’ve got two bedrooms sitting more or less idle. I wish we were making better use of the space, but we just aren’t enough people to live in all the rooms. That’s probably one of the biggest arguments for having more kids, but that discussion isn’t “on the wallpaper”* at the moment, so I won’t entertain those ideas just now.
