I read an article on CNN.com yesterday about a 63-year-old British woman who used in-vitro fertilization to become pregnant. There are, of course, many, many things I could say about that, but frankly I don’t have the energy to get into it. I couldn’t leave the issue, however, without remarking on the comments made by the woman’s fertility doctor. It’s just so, I don’t know, out there.
“[Dr. Antinori] said Rashbrook, whom he last saw in November, was ‘perfect’ for the treatment, because although she was 62 at the time, she had a biological age of about 45.
‘She came here with her husband, the couple love each other, she is very slim, blonde and in perfect condition, she fits all the criteria for maternity.'”
Huh … looks like a bottle of L’OrĂ©al and a Jenny Craig membership are all that’s standing between me and maternal perfection. I’ll have to get right on that.
She had probably had tons of plastic surgery to look like 45!
