The weather is positively glorious today, beautiful enough to make me not even care about the mountain of snow still on my front yard. The skies are clear and blue and the sun is warm and all the roads and parking lots and walkways are dry and easily traversed. I put my snowboots and winter coat away last week and for the past couple of days I’ve been leaving the house without taking even a light jacket. Pure bliss, I tell you.
After lunch I loaded up the little kids in the car and drove to town with the windows down and the stereo up. My mission was to buy a new bedding set and curtains for Lydia’s room–I had seen the perfect pattern advertised for 50% off and it was too good to pass up–but I found my way into more stores than just the one and ended up returning three hours and six or seven full shopping bags later. Minus my purse, which I didn’t notice until I was carrying my purchases and my sleeping babes in from the car. Damn.
Olof took pity on me and called to store to ask about it, and when they confirmed finding it (whew!), he went a step further and offered to drive back to town and get it. And he took the baby, so that I could have a bit of free time. What a guy.
Reading your posts gives me faith in guys! A year of living with my roommate has come pretty close to destroying it! (And when I complain to my mom about his behavior she says I should get used to it, all guys are like that!) Your man on the other side, gives me faith that perhaps not all guys are idiots. 🙂
