This afternoon after lunch we went to my favorite plant nursery to see if there were any pelargoniums that caught my eye. I settled on this one, Lizzier Salmon Eyer, a stjärnpelargon I hadn’t seen before. As you can see, the plant was HUGE!

When we got home I cut it down and repotted it. I got eighteen cuttings, and was left with this tidy little specimen for my mother plant:

Between the plant nursery and our trip home, we stopped off at the local Army-surplus/overstock store to pick up a few odds and ends, including a wading pool for the kids. It was just the thing for a hot July afternoon:

While the kids had found the perfect way to cool off, poor Asbjørn wasn’t allowed in the pool. Here he is in his favorite spot on the stairs, looking completely done in by the heat:

Here’s hoping for cooler temperatures tomorrow, for all our sakes!
