I could totally go for an ice-cold Coca-Cola right now, but in an effort to break Olof’s two-liter-a-day habit, we made a pact a week or so ago to stop buying pop. Being that I’m pregnant (cravings, ya know) and that it’s not me who has the addiciton (I can quit anytime, really), I tried to make the argument earlier this evening that it wouldn’t hurt anything if I had just one little can, but Olof didn’t see things my way. To be fair, I did agree to the pact–actually, it was my idea in the first place–so I shouldn’t try to weasel my way out of it after only a week, but dang it, when you want carbonation there’s just nothing else that will satisfy.

You could sneak off on an errand and have a can while you’re out. 🙂
I’ve tried many times to cut out the carbonation habit and I’ve found it to be very difficult. I did switch to club soda for awhile – mixed it with either lemon or lime juice and it helped to satisfy my need for something ‘bubbly’.
