Looking ahead

Olof’s spent the past few days updating and polishing his résumé and, at least to my untrained eye, he looks pretty darned hire-able (the interwebs tell me that “hirable” is in fact a word, but I can’t bring myself to use it). It wouldn’t be entirely truthful, however, to say that I’m hoping he’ll find work quickly. It would be great for all of us if he were free through the holidays and for a little while after the baby is born.

And speaking of baby, can you all believe that it’s less than ten weeks until my due date? While I’m starting to get pretty tired of being pregnant, I don’t feel anywhere near ready to have a newborn again. This was the most unplanned of all my unplanned pregnancies, and I think I’ve been a bit in denial about the whole thing leading to another baby. At least all these years of baby-making have left us with a plentiful supply of baby gear and there’s not much to do, preparation-wise, other than wrap my head around the reality. I think that in itself might take up all the leftover energy I can muster.
