I noticed this evening as I was clearing the table after dinner that though it wasn’t quite six o’clock, it was full dark outside. I’m sure it was just last week that it wasn’t getting dark until nearly six-thirty. And of course it doesn’t stop there, not by a long shot. On Sunday we’ll be setting the clocks back, putting the sun’s last hurrah at something like four-thirty, and for the next two months we’ll sink ever deeper into darkness. Sigh.

Yeah, umm…the weather over here is going to take some getting used to.
It makes it more fun to light candles in pumpkins though when it is dark! 🙂
@Sarah: I also find it cheering to light candles in the evening when the early dark is getting me down. The kids love it of course.
