Shortly before Tage’s party was set to begin this afternoon, I went out to the front of the house to tie some balloons to the drainpipe in order to identify this as the party zone. I was in a bit of a hurry and not paying close attention to what I did, but luckily enough, I took the time to step back and survey my handiwork before I left it. I say “luckily enough,” because this is what I found I had done.
Once I stopped laughing–and called my mom and Olof to see and snapped a couple of pictures–I added a few more balloons and a bit of discretion to the display. I confess that I did consider just for the briefest moment leaving it up like that. In the end, though, concern over what kind of guests we might attract to our seven-year-old’s birthday bash tipped the scales on the side of decency. Count yourself fortunate, dear reader, that my standards for children’s parties don’t apply to this blog.
Well, it was a boy’s party, right? Still laughing here in the flatlands!
Thanks for reminding me…had to show Si…LOL! My favorite is how one of the “balls” is blue…hahaha! 😀
