We’ve had a beautiful weekend, with nothing but blue skies and warm temperatures.  The kids have spent most of their waking hours outdoors, and are now various shades of pink and tan as a result.  Tage’s neck, in particular, has turned a deep brown almost overnight, and it’s especially striking next to the white-blond color the sun has turned his hair.  I literally had to drag Tage and Petra inside tonight to take their bath, and I would have just skipped it if it weren’t for the two summer days’ worth of dirt and sweat that coated their little bodies.

Yesterday was actually the nicer day, with today was being a little too hot.  The thermometers reached 29°C (84°F), and our upstairs is now unbearably warm.  Once it cooled off a little I opened a couple of windows and the balcony door, and I dug a fan out of the closet, so I hope the bedroom is somewhat less stifling by the time we go to bed.  The outside temperature right now is a lovely 20°C (68°F), which feels perfect, but it will take some doing to get it that cool inside.  I’m thinking it’s time to take away the duvets and sleep with just a light covering.
