and maybe even the second time (when I took this picture), but we’ve all got our fill now of Brynja climbing up onto the kitchen table. It’s gotten to the point that we can hardly have her in the kitchen at all, because she will just not. stay. down. The only time we’re sort of safe is during dinner, when all five chairs are occupied and can’t be used as launching pads. All bets are off, however, if someone should get up ever so briefly for a glass of milk or the salt shaker, ’cause that kid moves fast.

My husband always said “Det bästa man ha, det sätter vi på bordet…” Usually reserved for food I think but in our case it was my daughter Susannah who did exactly the same thing! People used to wonder why the chairs round our table were laid down on their sides when they saw our kitchen 🙂
I know how you feel! One of her first phrases was “Atta, atta…” Finally we realized what she was saying “Akta, akta…” A phrase obviously used by my husband a hundred times a day as she was also a “climber”! In fact when she was about two years old she used to drag a chair behind her round the ground floor in order to gain access to areas out of reach! You obviously have such a child – it’s tiresome at the time but has turned out very well as she is really efficient and good at taking the initiative, privately and in her work – so think positively! Love your posts, by the way!
