This last month or so of school is always a tough one. It’s not getting dark until after ten, which means the kids are all but impossible to get to bed at their normal bedtime of eight o’clock. Which means that they’re all but impossible to get out of bed in the mornings. And of course, it only gets worse from here — come the last week of May, darkness will be a thing of the past for a couple of months. I’m not sure I’ll ever get myself fully adjusted to this.

Summer around the corner

Buy some mörkläggningsgardiner 🙂
We’ve got them in every bedroom and in the upstairs living room. Even with them down and closing the rest of the blinds upstairs, it’s just half-dark at best. They’re not fooled. 😀

Well I’ll agree with you there but mainly ‘cos I am loaded down with marking here – Nat Prov in En A, En B, Ty 3 & Ty 4 – 🙁 so the last month of school sucks in my opinion and I can’t for the life of me understand why they can’t mark all these exams in a central examination centre – must be a lot fairer and less subjective but when in Rome.
Will continue to check out your homepage – I really enjoy it – know exactly what you mean when you comment on these quaint culture bumps we face every day!!
Back to the salt mines for me now
