Respite

For what is perhaps the first time this weekend, Petra is not screaming at anyone.  For as long as it lasts I’ll be too busy basking in the relative quiet and sending up heartfelt prayers of thanks (and entreaties for the calm to continue) to do any real posting here. I knew you’d understand.

It wasn’t Tage’s party, but he totally stole the show.

After waiting for more than three months, Helena got notification today–Sweden’s national day–that her application for Swedish citizenship was approved.  Olof and I decided that a celebration was in order, so we made a little impromptu dinner party with German shepherd pie (one of Helena’s favorites), and a decadent chocolate cake for dessert.  Grattis, Helena!
