Today Olof bought a couple of bags of chips for us to snack on while we watch TV this evening. Lydia, as usual for a Friday night, headed off after supper to spend the night at a friend’s house. She asked me before she left, “Do you guys celebrate when I’m gone? You always have chips.”<\/p>\n
I told her of course not, that it’s nothing more than us usually having chips on the weekends, and her usually being away from home on the weekends. I suggested that she could stay home more often if she wanted to eat more chips, and for a moment she actually looked as though she were considering it.
