There’s nothing like a good hair day to put a spring in a girl’s step. Today is the first time since I cut my hair last weekend that I feel really good about the way it looks. I’ve been snipping little bits off here and there for past several days, and I think I may finally have gotten it just right. It’s also taking me a little while to get the knack for styling short hair back. When it’s long I don’t really have to style it, so this cut is a bit more labor-intensive than what I had previously.<\/p>\n
It’s another t-shirt-and-shorts-type day here, and I’ve been doing as much laundry as I can to get it hanged out on the line to dry in the warm air. Laundry has become a bit of a nightmare around here lately, as our washer’s spin cycle isn’t working as well as it could and the clothes come out sopping wet. Olof keeps vowing to put in a call to the repairman, but he’s such a procrastinator and I’m not confident enough in my Swedish abilities to make that kind of call. I think one of the best things about being fully fluent, if it ever happens, would be that I could make all these niggling little phone calls myself without having to nag Olof into submission all the time.<\/p>\n
We have Olof’s mom’s birthday party this afternoon at four o’clock, and we had been going to take the dogs for a walk before that, but it’s getting late enough now that I don’t think it will be happening, especially since Tage just fell asleep and I don’t want to disturb his nap. I guess it will have to wait until after the
