Yesterday evening Lydia’s 4-H club had a six-hours-long Halloween party in town, so Olof and I imposed yet again on his parents and left our little ones at their house so that he and I could get dinner and see a movie while Lydia was doing the party thing.\u00a0 While it was very nice for us to be able to spend some time alone together, I have to say that six hours is way<\/i> too much time to have to kill in Skellefteå unless you’ve got a specific agenda.\u00a0 We started out with some shopping, moved on to dinner, shopped a bit more, lingered over pie and coffee, shopped a third round, spent two hours at the movie theater (we saw 1408<\/i> — I recommend it), and still managed to be a half-hour early to pick Lydia up at the 4-H farm.\u00a0 By the time we got home just before 9:30, I think all either of us wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep it off.\u00a0 I guess we’d might as well face it:\u00a0 we’re just not cut out for the night life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
