It’s late and I’m supposed to be getting ready for bed, but I sneaked into Olof’s office to write a quick entry after I took the dogs out and hanged up the laundry. How’s that for a switch — Olof upstairs waiting for me to come up to bed and me sitting down here playing around on the computer. Mwaaahahaha!<\/p>\n
So, yesterday was his birthday and we had his parents and his sisters (and the brothers-in-law and kids) over for dinner and birthday dessert. My parents are divorced and I’ve never been part of a big extended family, so it’s still a bit of an adjustment for me to have a “small” family gathering and have there be twelve people, minimum, in attendance. It’s nice, though, and I think it’s wonderful that Olof has such a great family in which everybody gets along with everybody else and there’s no tension or fighting or anything. I have a great family, too, but we’ve had our share of tension and cross words (and worse), to be sure. <\/p>\n
