It’s that time of year again, when the aspiring writer’s fancy turns lightly to thoughts of NaNoWriMo<\/a>. For the uninitiated, NaNoWriMo is a challenge held in November every year, the goal being the completion of a 50,000-word novel in thirty days. Piece of cake, right?<\/p>\n Hardly. I’ve participated only once, in 2004, and though I did cross the finish line–coming in with just over 50,000 words on November 30–it took every bit of writerly strength I had. It’s a feat I know I won’t repeat for a very long time, if ever. It’s just too much work for a slacker like me.<\/p>\n I did, however, happen across something that looks a lot more do-able: NaBloPoMo<\/a>, or National Blog Posting Month. The idea here is to commit to posting in your blog every single day for the month of November. Though that’s obviously not as rigorous as pounding out an entire novel, it will be a challenge nonetheless.
