The phone rang (I just typed “rage” and had to go back and change it — Freudian slip, much?) this morning at 5 o’clock, alerting him to some work situation that he simply had<\/i> to see to immediately, in the wee hours of the morning, on a Saturday<\/i> morning, on the first day of his vacation. After taking the call he did come back to bed for a couple of hours, but he’s had his nose to the grindstone ever since he got up again.
