I was up all night last night with Tage, who is still sick. I hope he sleeps better tonight, because I don’t think I have the stamina to be up with him if he doesn’t. I’m just way too tired, plus I have a low-grade version of whatever bug it is that he’s got, and all I want to do is get a good night’s rest. <\/p>\n
We went to the meeting with Lydia’s teacher this afternoon, and it turned out to be not much of a big deal. They were just a little concerned at school because Lydia had seemed tired and irritable last week, but I reminded the teacher that my mom had been here last week and that doubtless had something to do with it (she hadn’t wanted to go to school while my mom was here, and by this time last week, the departure date was approaching, and that was a bummer for all of us). Apparently one of the teacher’s aides from last year (a woman who still works with Lydia on her Swedish), had told the teacher about Lydia’s epilepsy, and the teacher wanted to make sure there was nothing going on regarding that.<\/p>\n
We also found out that Lydia won’t be able to get home-language instruction this year because there aren’t enough kids in the kommun<\/i> who have English as their native language. I think that’s too bad, but nothing major, really, since she does have a good grasp of English.
