So yesterday was Halloween, and we had a little party here and invited Olof’s family to join us. Lydia and her cousin Saga dressed up in their witch costumes first thing in the morning, and it proved to be a long day for them, as the party didn’t start until six o’clock in the evening. When party time finally arrived, Lydia was a bit tired and cranky, so she didn’t end up having as much fun as she anticipated, unfortunately. All in all, though, it was a fun evening and I’m glad that my mom has gotten to meet Olof’s family and spend some time with them. <\/p>\n
We don’t have anything on for today, which is nice. I feel like we’ve been going non-stop for the past several days, and it’s good to have a day of relaxation. I’m feeling on the verge of an MS flare-up, and I’m trying to ward that off with prednisone and rest. I haven’t had a “real” flare-up in more than six months, and I’d like to keep that streak alive.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow we’re going to Olof’s parents’ house for a late lunch\/early dinner, and I’m sure there will be a fair amount of activity involved with that. There are so many people there that it’s always a bit hectic when we have family gatherings. I’m really happy, though, to be part of a large extended family and it’s wonderful that my kids get to grow up surrounded by so many warm, loving people.
