At first I was going to go with the old stand-by, Swedish <i>kanelbullar<\/i>, but I started thinking that I can have those anytime and that I was more in the mood for American-style sweet rolls.  I briefly contemplated making cinnamon rolls, but discarded the idea as they&#8217;re not too, too different from <i>kanelbullar<\/i>.  <\/p>\n<p>I decided, finally, to make <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/users\/idahoswede\/\">Carolyn&#8217;s<\/a> famous orange rolls, only with a twist.  Since I had no oranges but I did have a couple of limes sitting on my kitchen counter, I figured I might as well give lime rolls a shot.  They turned out to be delicious, with just the right blend of sweet and tart.  The only downside is that the grated lime peel looks a bit too much like chopped spinach or oregano or some other green, distinctly un-sweet-roll-like ingredient.
