Yesterday was Tage’s name day (thanks, Tomas<\/a>, for the explanatory link — I should have thought to include that myself!), which meant chocolate cupcakes for dessert (Sarah, I’ll post the recipe for the banana cake soon — it needs translation and conversion, and I don’t have it handy just now). <\/p>\n

Today, being the first Sunday in August, was the joint birthday party for the kids, which meant still more cake. Olof made the standard Swedish gräddtårta<\/i>, or cream cake, of which you can catch a glimpse in the background of this picture. Front and center is the bunny cake that Petra requested. She wasted no time decapitating it and downing the head with relish, but — perhaps luckily — I don’t have pictures of the carnage.<\/p>\n
