{"id":2193,"date":"2012-02-01T22:39:30","date_gmt":"2012-02-01T21:39:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beverlyrevelry.com\/?p=2193"},"modified":"2016-02-21T02:32:47","modified_gmt":"2016-02-21T01:32:47","slug":"bull-headed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beverlyrevelry.com\/?p=2193","title":{"rendered":"<b>Bull-headed<\/b>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s taken a turn for the cold and this afternoon I found myself hoping that Tage would get home from school before I had to leave to pick up Brynja, so that I wouldn&#8217;t have to bundle Yrsa up and drag her out in the -15&deg;C (5&deg;F) air for a second time today.  The appointed time arrived, however, with no sign of his return, so the baby and I set out.  After a few minutes, we met up with Tage and Petra, who had decided to wait for us, and we all carried on to Brynja&#8217;s school.<\/p>\n<p>It turned out to have been a good thing that I didn&#8217;t leave the baby home with the other kids, because the pick-up was far from the quick dash up and back that I&#8217;d had in mind.  When I went in to get her, Brynja was in. a. mood.  She wasn&#8217;t ready to leave so she yelled and cried and kicked and hit and was generally a giant pain in the ass for about twenty minutes, until &#8212; having exhausted all of my own tricks as well as Tage&#8217;s and a long-suffering teacher&#8217;s &#8212; I hauled her bodily from the place, minus shoes, hat, gloves, and coat.<\/p>\n<p>Once outdoors, she capitulated immediately on the the shoes, but it wasn&#8217;t until we were halfway home that she decided she&#8217;d wear her coat, albeit unzipped.
