Obviously.  I&#8217;m not a particular fan of the chairs you see in that picture, but they served their function well enough for a number of years and I never felt especially motivated to replace them.  They look so wrong with the new table, though, that it put me in a great big hurry to switch them out.<\/p>\n<p>Since last summer, when Olof started building the table, I had been toying with the idea of doing mismatched dining chairs to go with it.  I really like the look, plus it can be a lot more affordable than buying a set of matching chairs.  I had planned to let everyone choose his or her own chair, something I thought would be cute and quirky, but ultimately my inner control freak wouldn&#8217;t let it happen and I wound up choosing all of these chairs in one go last weekend at the Salvation Army thrift store.  In case you can&#8217;t see it well, there are two each of four different chair styles.  I&#8217;m happier with the result than I thought I might be.
