So we ventured out yesterday afternoon to the midwife appointment I’d have sworn two weeks ago there was no chance we’d make it to. Everything checks out fine, and if there’s still nothing doing next Tuesday we go in to see a doctor. I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t feeling pretty miserable about the whole affair at the moment. <\/p>\n
There was a bright spot to yesterday’s trip, though — we got to meet the newest member of our extended family, a baby boy born to Olof’s cousin on Monday evening. If we hadn’t run into them in the hospital cafeteria it might have been quite some time before we had a chance to see him. He’s a big baby, just a hair under four kilos (or not quite nine pounds), but still so tiny that it boggles the mind, and they make such a sweet little family that I can’t even complain (much) that she had her baby before I did.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
