and we’re still waiting. We’d been hoping that babe might share daddy’s birthday, which is today, but no dice. Even though I know that a due date is nothing more than an educated guess, I’m still getting kind of discouraged with all the waiting, mostly because this is only the second time in five pregnancies that I’ve made it as far as my due date. I usually go a week or so early (except for that one time I went eleven days late, which is not something to remind me of just now if one wants to remain in my good graces). <\/p>\n
On the upside, I was really pleased with my birthday present for Olof, and after lunch Petra and I made him a chocolate cake that’s sure to be a hit this evening after dinner. What’s more, Olof’s mom and dad came over a couple of hours ago with a basket full of yummy birthday treats, so we’ve been very well-fed today (and I’ll be fully carb-loaded if it turns out I need the extra energy any time soon).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
