The past several weeks I’ve been having some trouble with SPD<\/a>, a fairly common problem during late pregnancy. I seem to have a relatively mild case, all things considered, but it can cause me significant pain when I walk even short distances, and the resultant ache in my hips, especially at night, is not for the faint of heart.<\/p>\n Last week I had finally had enough and I decided to make my first-ever visit to a chiropractor to see if he could give me some relief. My appointment was on Monday, and let me tell you, I left that office a believer. Not only did he get my SPD problems sorted, but he made a quick couple of adjustments to my ribs that all but got rid of a persistent pain that had been with me since a bout of the flu more than two years ago. I feel like a new woman.<\/p>\n I confess that up until I tried it for myself, I had been rather a skeptic about chiropractic. It was a measure of my desperation that I went so far as to book an appointment, and even once that was done, I hemmed and hawed until the last minute about canceling it.
