<\/center><\/p>\nBehold the ravioli! We gave it another go this evening, and this time it turned out pretty well (thanks in large part to my husband’s pasta-rolling skills). So maybe Ted isn’t such a rat bastard after all.<\/p>\n
Today being Maundy Thursday, all the little Easter witches were out in full force in Sweden, offering Easter greetings and graciously accepting candies or small change in return. It’s Sweden’s version of trick-or-treating, and this is the first year that I’ve remembered to have candy on hand before<\/i> the first little witch rang our doorbell. Lydia dressed up for the first time this year and hit the streets with her friends, going door to door. I think she had a good time, and she and Sandra (below, left) painstakingly divvied up the spoils when the fun was over.<\/p>\n

<\/center><\/p>\nIt wasn’t all fun and games around here today, though. We’ve finally made the tough decision that we have to find a new home for Mette. She’s always been a bit sketchy, but until recently she was more or less manageable. The last few weeks, though, she’s been getting more aggressive and more crazy-acting, and I just don’t trust her with the kids anymore. I think she would be fine in a home where there were no kids and no other dogs (she’s been making poor Asbjørn’s life a living hell lately, attacking him for no reason and without warning), but it’s just not going to work out for her to be here. At the moment she’s at Olof’s parents’ house and they’re giving her sort of a trial run to see how it goes. Ideally (for me, anyway) they would love having her and want to keep her permanently, but I’m not sure that will pan out. We may end up having to look a little farther out for a family for her. She’s been gone for only about eight hours now and I miss her already.<\/p>\n
